Last night MEMORIES took home the prestigious George McNeill Columbia Academy Audience Choice Award at the Vancouver Student Film Festival! The award also came with a $500 cash prize! Congrats to the cast and crew! Also, MEMORIES has been selected for the Burnaby Arts Council "Dare to Excel" Film Festival. The festival is taking place on May 27th and 28th at the Telus Theatre in Burnaby. Show starts at 7PM.

MEMORIES (2007) is an official selection of the 2008 Vancouver Student Film Festival. The film will be screening on May 24th, at the Vancity Theatre in downtown Vancouver. Congrats to the Cast/Crew who completed the film in less than a month! More information can be found about the film festival at www.VFSS.com.

THE LADY IN WHITE (2008), a haunting story taking place in the late 1940s will be wrapping production at the end of May. Production started in early mid-March. The film stars Matt Anderson and Beatrice Ilg. It is set to release later this summer.

Into the Black Woods (2008)

A release date has finally been finalized for MOONLiTE's epic adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood, "INTO THE BLACK WOODS"! The film will be released on March 20th, at the Surrey Arts Centre, Studio Theatre. It will be a full red carpet premiere. In the next couple weeks, tickets will go on sale and the official website will be launched. "Into the Black Woods" began production in late July and wrapped pickups in late September. An entire street was decorated to fit the Halloween feel of the film in early August. It is MOONLiTE's largest and longest project, a title that was originally held by "The Lost" (2004). Telethon of Hearts

With the success of MEMORIES (2007), Glen Chua and the crew of MOONLiTE Productions are currently in Pre-Production for their next film "The Lady in White". The film takes place in the late 1940's and the plot revolves around a man who picks up a mysterious young lady, dressed in a white wedding gown, on the side of the road one night. Filming is set to take place in early March, with a release date of May.

Glen Chua can also be seen on Variety's Telethon of Hearts event on February 16th and 17th. Glen presented the cheque donated by MOONLiTE Productions from the Surrey High School Film Festival. The event can be seen on Global TV. Check your local listings.

Memories

MOONLiTE Productions will be releasing it‘s second HD film titled "MEMORIES" on December 21st. The film was also known as "Christmas in Vancouver" during it's production. The short film stars Lee Majdoub, T.C. Dickinson (both from "Into the Black Woods") and new commer Melissa Demmers. This was MOONLiTE Production's first film using all new talent including Jimmy Hsu as Assistant Director, the make-up team of Kelly Yeh and Jacqueline Liu, and music composer Michael V. Wilson. Production lasted for three days and the crew shot at locations such as a graveyard in New Westminster and in Cloverdale. "MEMORIES"

With a scrapbook full of photographs, a homeless man, is given a special box of matches on Christmas Eve. These matches, when struck, begin to bring the photos in his scrapbook to life, letting him relive the best moments of his past.

The release date for MOONLiTE's epic summer project "Into the Black Woods" has had it‘s release date pushed down delayed until mid-February of 2008. The film is currently in it‘s post-production stage. Stay tuned for updates!

MOONLiTE Productions has just wrapped up shoot on their new film, a modern re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood, titled "Into the Black Woods". The film was produced by Glen Chua and Tim Reyes, written/directed by Glen Chua, and stars an amazing line-up of actors which include Chris Walters, Kelsey Gillis, Lee Majdoub, Jacqlyn Atkins, and T.C. Dickinson. This is the first MOONLiTE film to be shot in a High Definition format. An entire street was decorated in early August to look like Halloween. Other locations also include the Historic Stewart Farm House, which stood as the exterior for Granny's House. Into the Black Woods is expected to release late October, just in time for the Halloween season. Check back for more updates!

Glen Chua was recently a guest on Fairchild's most popular TV Talk Show titled "City Chat" which is hosted by Celebrities from Hong Kong. The interview can be seen in mid May on Fairchild TV. Glen was also a guest on another popular talk show which is featured in the Cantonese language. In the interview, Glen dicusses his inspirations for filmmaking and gives a first hand look at the productions of Reflection, The Ridge, and The Innocent. This interview will be on April 19th, at 7:00PM Pacific Time, on Fairchild TV, check your local listings.
